Nokia's New Affordable WP8 Phones Lumia 520, 720, Leaked


Bangalore: After hearing rumors about high end Nokia mobile, Lumia 1000, and reports about new Nokia tablet, the tech grapevine is abuzz with two new Nokia devices leaked just when Mobile World Congress 2013 event is around the corner, reports TOI.

The two Nokia handsets, have actually just passed certification from Directorate Post & Telecommunication Indonesia, and are named Lumia 520 and Lumia 720. Reports suggest that these sets will be successors to Lumia 510 and Lumia 710 respectively. Considering Lumia 510 Costs 10,000 and Lumia 710 costs 13, 000; the upcoming phones are likely to be affordable as well. Matters will be clearer with the supposed launch of these devices at MWC 2013 that will take place from 25th to 28th February.

Nokia 720 is codenamed as Zeal and runs on Windows Phone 8, according to MyNokiaBlog. The device also sports a 4.3 inch screen with ClearBlack Display technology and is powered by 1GHz dual-core processor, coupled with 512MB RAM. It is said to have 8GB internal storage, support microSD cards and be compatible with HSPA+ network. The rear camera of the phone is said to have a 6MP sensor, while a 2MP unit is used in the front.

Lumia 520 is device has been codenamed Flame and it too runs on Windows Phone 8. It is to sport a 4-inch Super Sensitive screen, a 5MP rear camera and no front camera. The report said Nokia has used a 1GHz processor and 512MB RAM in this phone, which has 8GB internal storage and supports microSD cards.
