Nokia Unveils 3 New Affordable Asha Series Phones


Bangalore: Nokia announced three new models under its Asha series – Asha 202, 203 and 302 at MWC 2012. All the three new Asha series feature phones comes with a touch of few smartphone features.

The Nokia Asha 302 is a QWERTY phone with 2.4 inch display. It is powered by 1 GHz processor, 128 MB of RAM and runs on S40 operating system. The mobile also features 3.2 MP camera, 140 MB of internal memory-expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card. The device is idle for social networking as it is integrated with mobile apps like Facebook, Twitter, Microsoft Exchange email and WhatApp. For connectivity it has 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The price of this mobile is expected to be around 6275 and will be available by May 2012.

The Asha 202 and 203 have similar looks, features and specifications. Asha 202 comes with single SIM support while Asha 203 supports dual-SIM. Both the device comes with traditional keypad, 2.4 inch touchscreen, 2 MP camera, microSD card slot which can support up to 32 GB and Bluetooth for connectivity. The Asha 203 comes with ‘Dual-SIM Easy Swap’ technology with dedicated SIM management to manage and personalize up to five SIM cards with specific ringtones and themes. The price of Asha 202 and 203 are expected to be around 4000.

Along with Asha series phones, Nokia also introduced three new smartphones, one a 41 megapixel camera phone named Nokia 808 and two new Windows Phone based smartphones named Lumia 900 and Lumia 610.
