Nokia Unveiled Its Much Awaited Nokia XL

BANGALORE: Nokia unveiled another sibling in the X family series of devices. This next gen android powered Nokia Smartphone, Nokia XL runs on a highly customized version of android 4.1.2. Surprisingly, existing Google services like play store and map, to name a few will not be seen in this latest Nokia device, instead, there will be Nokia app store, HERE Maps, drive for location services and Nokia MixRadio music service. However, users can install the third party android apps if they wish.

Additionally, Nokia is offering 10 GB of free storage on OneDrive, based on the Microsoft cloud storage service. Nokia XL has a different UI compared to other Android Smartphone’s; the UI is split into fastlane and a tile based launcher. This makes it similar to the windows phone UI. However, unlike Windows phone, there is no app list in XL, and so, you can create more tiles whenever you install apps of your choice.

Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor, this latest device sports an impressive 5-inch WVGA display (800 x 480), a 768 MB RAM with an internal memory of 4 GB that can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. This matte finish smartphone has 5MP Primary and 2 MP secondary camera with a LED flash. The price of the phone is €109, which will be around INR 9109.
