Nokia Lumia 1520 Brings First HD Display To A Windows Phone


Bangalore: The Twitter handle @evleaks, famous for breaking news on Windows handsets has yet again came up with a surprise for the Windows Phone fans. The latest image posted by the account shows a screenshot of Nokia’s Upcoming Lumia 1520 aka “Bandit,” which sports a resolution of 1,080 x 1,920, the first time for a Windows Phone.

Currently, Windows Phone 8 doesn’t support 1080p displays. However, the Lumia 1520 is expected to come with WP 8’s GDR3 update, which will bring HD displays to Windows devices. The update is also expected to bring a bunch of goodies including driving mode, screen orientation lock and new tile interfaces.

The leaks also point towards the presence of a powerful Qualcomm processor and a 20 Megapixel clear view camera in the Lumia 1520. The device, along with Nokia’s first ever tablet codenamed ‘Sirius, is expected make a public appearance on September 26.
