New Year Kitkat Surprise For Micromax Users

Bangalore: New Year is to bring sweet news to Micromax users as the Indian manufacturer is preparing to release the latest version of Android- KitKat 4.4, for its series of Canvas phones. The news doesn’t end here; the company has also lined up around 15 handsets which will receive the software update including the unannounced A200.

The information about the update was leaked out by a serial Micromax leaker, known as MMXNewscaster through Twitter. A picture showing the handsets which are to get the update was captioned with words referring to the New Year, rising assumptions that the newly designed KitKat software will arrive soon in 2014.

The phones which are listed down will probably be receiving Android 4.4 which includes the Canvas series A117, A116, A114, A111, A110, A110Q and the A116i. The Canvas doodle, Canvas 4 A210 or Canvas Turbo A250 users don’t have to worry, as these models make it to the list too.

The A115 and the A113 are lined for an upgrade of Android 4.2.1 version and the A100, A101 are there for a 4.1 version update. The A200 is not in the list since it is not yet launched.

The mysterious Micromax A200 apparently will not go into the phablet range as it should have a minimum of 5 inch display according to the norms. It is rumored to have specs like HD touchscreen of 4.7 inches, 1GB RAM,  a 1.3Ghz quad core chip, an 1800mah battery, 4GB ROM, and 8MP camera and a 5MP webcam.
