New MacBook Pro "Retina Display" At WWDC 2012

Bangalore: WWDC 2012 starts with a bang and a lot to smile about for the Apple fans. Apple has launched its next generation MacBook Pro. The main and the biggest highlight of the new MacBook Pro is the new Retina Display. The Retina Display just made the experience of viewing text and pictures better in the MacBook Pro. Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of worldwide marketing, calls it "the most amazing computer we have ever made."

1. The Retina Display

The screen resolution of the MacBook is 2,880 x 1,800 pixels with a 15.4-inch display, which converts to 220 pixels per inch. This resolution is the first of its kind and has never been seen in any laptop or HDTV before. The highest that the screen resolution has gone up to has been 1,920 x 1,080 pixels both in laptop screens as well as HDTV. What does the Retina Display offer the viewer? The viewing experience will become more incredible and marvelous. The colours are brighter and truer, the images have a feeling of greater depth and the most visible improvement with the Retina Display is in reading the text. It also means that the screen will have about 75 percent less glare in spite of the screen being a glossy one.
