Moto G4 Plus, Lenovo ZUK Z1, Meizu m3 Note and More: Best Mid-Budget Phones

BENGALURU:Big things come in small packages’ and this holds true for smartphones. The smartphone is ubiquitous, addictive and transformative. It all started in January 2007, when Steve Jobs, Apple's chief executive, in front of a rapt audience, brandished a slab of plastic, metal and silicon not much bigger than a Kit Kat. "This will change everything," he promised. For once there was no hyperbole. Just nine years later Apple's iPhone exemplifies the early 21st century's defining technology.

Smartphones matter partly because of their ubiquity. They have become the fastest-selling gadgets in history, outperforming the growth of the simple mobile phones that preceded them. Today about half the adult population owns a smartphone; by 2020, 80% will. Smartphones have pervaded every aspect of our daily life and with its ever expanding reach it has become a necessity for a huge chunk of the population. Keeping this in mind companies are coming out with phones that cater to every section of the society. Some of the best mid-budget phones are listed below:

1. Moto G4 Plus

Lenovo has eventually unveiled the Moto G4 and G4 Plus in India. Moto G4 Plus is available in two variants — 2GB RAM + 16GB and 3GB RAM + 32GB — priced at Rs 13,499 and Rs 14,999 respectively. The new Moto smartphones are still pitched as budget benchmark devices and set to compete against likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Meizu m3 note as well as the ZUK Z1 from Lenovo.  Moto G4 Plus version of the smartphone has a fingerprint scanner on the front and a 16MP rear camera with 1.3 um pixel size and f/2.0. Moto G4 Plus’ camera also comes with a Pro-Mode as well. Another feature of the phone is a 5.5-inch Full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
