Microsoft To Cede Windows 8.1 Devices With Lumia Denim Update

BANGALORE: Microsoft India announced exclusively that Lumia series operating on Windows Phone 8.1 will receive the Lumia Denim update by the month end.The company tweeted in reply to its users that the availability of Lumia Denim update for all Lumia phones running Windows Phone 8.1  in India will roll out this month. of t, reports NDTV Gadgets

Despite the tweet made from Microsoft India’s account, the update is expected to be valid for all regions. The Lumia Denim that is the Update 1 of the Windows Phone 8.1 is expected to bring in significant features to the smartphone which includes Cortana, Live folders, Apps Corner, SMS merge and forwarding, Snooze Times, Consumer VPN, and Internet Explorer improvements. Other notable features from the update focuseson  the Lumia Camera app exclusively for Lumia 930, Lumia Icon, Lumia 1520, Lumia 830 and further  camera improvements for selected devices that includes Lumia 930 and Lumia Icon.

Moreover, earlier this week Microsoft unearthed a preview of Windows 10, a massive impending update for its  mobile devices. The first version of the Windows 10 Technical Preview was designed exclusively for Lumia 630, Lumia 635, Lumia 636, Lumia 638, Lumia 730, and Lumia 830.

Following the confirmation date for the update, Microsoft's Engineering General Manager, Gabriel Aul took to his blog post  that stated  "This is the earliest publicly available preview we've ever done for Windows on phones. This preview is still very much under development and you're going to see some rough edges. We're sharing it with you so you can be with us at every step, and provide your feedback to help make this the best release ever-because it's the one made for you."
