Micromax Launches New Voice Calling Tablet

Bangalore: Indian smartphone manufacture - Micromax has stepped in to the tablet market back in April with the launch of its first Funbook tablet. Now the company continues to strengthen its Funbook collection of tablets with new Funbook Talk tablet for 7,249.

The Funbook Talk is the fifth tablet from the company and it runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system which is a little disappointing when the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is out. Unlike other Funbook tablets by Micromax, you can make calls using this tablet and also use GPRS which serves as the major selling points.

Funbook Talk is powered with a Single-Core ARM Cortex A8 processor at a clock speed of 1GHz, 512 MB of RAM and has internal memory of 4 GB and a microSD card slot for expanding memory up to 32 GB.

The device sports 7 inch touch screen display with a resolution of 800 X 480 pixels and 0.3 mega pixel front facing camera. It comes with 2800 mAh battery which offers up to 5 hours of talk time and for connectivity it comes with Wi-Fi, USB 2.0, HDMI and supports 3G dongle.

A day before the launch of Funbook Talk, Wickedleak launched a tablet - Wammy Desire with better specs and features then Funbook Talk. Wammy Desire features Dual-Core processor, 1GB of RAM and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. Even the price of the tablet is less than the Funbook Talk; Wammy Desire is priced below 7,000.
