Micromax Fitness: YuFit and HealthYu Launched In India

BENGALURU: India’s largest Smartphone maker, Micromax, recently unveiled two new health and fitness products at a conference in Delhi. The company unveiled fitness band, named YuFit and a health checkup product called HealthYu.

Micromax has stepped up in providing better health report by unveiling HealthYu at a moderate cost of 4,999, which measures body vitals, ECG, skin temperature, blood oxygen saturation, heart rate, respiration rate, and blood pressure. This data can also be shared with doctors when necessary.

HealthYu can be easily attached on Micromax’s new Smartphone, Yu Yuphoria’s rear panel with the help of its suction cups. The company has succeeded in keeping the user experience as its top priority. The new health product is also cost effective for conducting tests compared to the medical tests done in a hospital, which are very expensive.

The YuFit fitness band comes at a very affordable price of 999, which has an OLED display screen. The band mainly measure steps and sleeping hours and additionally, an application named YuUFit specially measures calories of Indian dishes, a feature that most other apps don’t provide.

The YuUFit application offers various features and works in sync with HealthifyMe service, a Bangalore based startup in which Micromax recently invested in. The company also aims to offer a subscription based service through which the personal trainers will be able to provide fitness guidance.
