Mercury mTab Rio Tablet Unveiled for 11,999


Bangalore: Mercury has added yet another member to its mTab range - mTab Rio tablet is the new member in the family which runs on Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0 operating system. The previous tablets from Mercury failed to deliver on good screen quality. So with mTab Rio the company has tried to rectify the problem. In the newest offering the 9.7-inch tablet has the latest IPS panel which enhances the colour and image viewing. mTab Rio is priced at 11,999 which is slightly cheaper than their previous tablet, Neo2.

With the IPS panel the 9.7-inch tablet will provide the user with bright sharp and crystal clear pictures. The added advantage of having an IPS Panel is that it offers the user with consistent and accurate colour from all viewing angles in comparison to the normal LCD screens which display partial true colour.

The tablet will be powered by a 1.2 GHz processor and 1 GB DDR3 Memory RAM. This tablet comes with internal memory storage of 8GB or 16 GB which is expandable up to 32 GB with a microSD card slot. The tablet weighs a just 480 grams. Mecury promises its users with a battery backup of 6-8 hours. Rio is Wi-Fi enabled and supports Adobe Flash11. The tablet comes with a rear 2.0 megapixel camera as well as a 300k front camera. The front camera will enable the user to make video calls. The tablet is 3G enabled and can be connected using a USB interface.
