Meizu Launches its Latest Flagship Smartphone, Pro 5




BANGALORE: This mid week, Chinese Smartphone producer Meizu introduced a new flagship Smartphone – Pro 5. The handset is a part of Pro series Smartphones and it will come with Pro service and accessories, reports NDTV.

The new Meizu device comes in two variants one with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory, priced at CNY 2,799 and the other variant comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, with a 3,099.

Meizu said that they are trying to bring the Pro 5 to Indian market as soon as possible within this year end, but added certification and other issues may delay it till early next year.

The novel phone sports the metal body that portrays the premium quality in the build. This time Meizu has included the fingerprint scanner at the bottom of the screen just like Samsung, HTC and OnePlus. The firm claims that Pro 5 sports the fastest fingerprint recognition on a Meizu device until now.

The device packs in a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. It is powered by a Samsung Exynos 7420 octa-core processor paired with Mali T760 MP8 GPU. There is a hybrid slot for second SIM card or microSD card for memory expansion.

The Pro 5 boasts a 21.16MP primary camera with a Sony IMX 230 CMOS sensor, f/2.2 aperture, and dual-tone flash. The front-facing camera consists of a 5MP sensor with an aperture of f/2.0. The handset comes with a 3050mAh battery, which supports fast charging through USB Type-C port and the company claims that Pro 5 would charge up to 65 percent with 30 minutes of charge.
