Lenovo A6000 and A6000 Plus Indian Users to Get Android Update


BANGALORE: Lenovo is also following the steps of other smartphone makers and have released the Android 5.0 (Lollipop) update for their widely recognized Lenovo A6000 and A6000 Plus budget smartphones in India. The company initially launched both the phones with Android 4.4 (Kitkat) and with the new update available it will help performance improvement and stability and material design elements, reports HansoIndia.

Lenovo made a huge impact on the Indian market when they launched their A6000 and A6000 plus budget phone which cost under 10, 000. Since its launch in April it is only being available through ecommerce giant Flipkart. While they concentrated on the online selling business they seem to be keen on the 4G strategy. According to the IDC data the company also holds 29.4 percent share of India’s 4G smartphone market.

With the various advantages of updated Android versions Lenovo is looking for more success in the market. The company claims an overall selling of more than 1.3 million A6000 and A6000 plus smartphones till now. The company released A6000 in the market primarily in January 2015 and launched the plus version in April with double the RAM and internal storage at an extra 500.

It is reported that the lollipop update available for the phones will be of Android 5.0.2 not the latest 5.1.1. And the update is said to be of 1091 MB for the A6000 smartphone.
