Bangalore: NCR based tech vendor – Lava has said that it will launch India’s first Android 4.2 Jelly Bean tablet, this May.

The tablet will be available to the consumers in the first week of the month with a price under Rs.10,000, said a senior executive of the company to Gizbot.

Talking about the specs, the device will boast of a 7 inch IPS display, with a 2 megapixel camera on the back panel and a VGA front camera.

It will house a 1.5GHz dual core processor, coupled with 1GB of RAM. The internal storage capacity of the device will be 8GB, which and can further be expanded with microSD card.

For connectivity, users can only avail Wi-Fi.

Looks like the device will have some competition to face in the market as Asus Nexus 7 which costs Rs.15,999 was launched recently. But, this is not the only news as the Indian tech vendor is planning to launch multiple quad core tablets with different sizes that would be priced depending upon their display.
