LG Unveils Triple-SIM Mobile

Bangalore: LG is planning to launch its first triple-SIM mobile LG A290. This mobile is expected to be available by the end of February with a price tag of around 4200.

The LG A290 comes with a 2.2 inch display at 175x220 pixels of resolution, sports 1.3 MP camera with digital zoom functionality and has no secondary camera. It has a microSD card slot which can support up to 32 GB of storage and all three SIM slots will be GSM only. The phone measures 113.5 x 51 x 12.95 mm, other specifications of the mobile are not yet revealed.

The company is already competing multi-SIM market segments but A290 is the first phone which is coming up with triple-SIM phone in the market. Till now major mobile manufacturers like Samsung, Sony Ericsson and Nokia have not launched any handsets with triple-SIM. With the launch of A290, the company will be grabbing a first-movers-advantage in this niche market segment.
