LG Rivals Samsung With Their First Ever Curved Smartphone, G-Flex


Bangalore: LG electronics unveiled its first ever Smartphone with curved display. The South Korean electronics company claims G-Flex is to be the first device to offer such a design in the market.

Contrary to Samsung’s Galaxy round which is curved vertically, the LG phone is curved horizontally which offers ease in making calls and an immersive video watching experience.

The gadget houses a 6 inch HD display with curved P-OLED technology with a resolution of 1280 X 720 pixels. Inside the gadget is a 2.26GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and a 450MHz Adreno 330 GPU.  The device comes with 32GB of internal storage runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.  

LG G-Flex sports a 13MP primary camera that assists in clicking life like images and the 2.1MP front unit which helps in video-calling. The model supports all major connectivity features including BT 4.0, USB 3, Wi-Fi and NFC.  it is fueled by a 3500mAh battery.

In one of the press releases, LG highlighted the self-healing technology of the phone and associates with the character Wolverine from X-men. The layer on the rear panel which can get rid of scratches in minutes is thought to be referred by the technology. G-Flex will be available for purchase in Korea starting November.
