LG Optimus L5 Officially Unveiled, Coming to India Soon

Bangalore: LG has extended its L-Series smartphone range under the Optimus family with the global debt of ‘Optimus L5’ android smartphone which works on the latest Android 4.0 OS and is powered by 800 Mhz Qualcomm processor.

LG Optimus L5 is a mid-range smartphone which is expected to cost around 13,000 to 16,000. The company has made this phone to stand in between the low-end L3 phones and high-end L7 phones. This best feature in this phone is its slim form factor and wide 4-inch display.  But the display has only HVGA 480x320 pixels resolution which is not that cheering for a 4-inch screen.

The phone sports a single core 800 Mhz Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 MSM7225A mobile processor, 4GB internal storage which is expandable up to 32 GB with microSD cards, rear 5.0 MP camera with LED Flash and 1,500mAh battery. For Indian market the phone will come with dual-SIM functionality and will omit the NFC ‘Tag and Play’ feature which will be there for the European and North American.

European market will get this new phone later this month and the next batch of shipment will be for CIS, Asia, Middle East, Central America and South America. So, it’s sure that Indian market is soon going to have one more budget smartphone.
