'LG Optimus 4X HD' A Quad-core Superphone!


Bangalore: LG has launched a Quad-core superphone ‘LG Optimus 4X HD’, this smartphone is powered by on Nvidia Tegra3 quad-core processor and runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich. Most of our PCs don’t come with quad-core processor now days, but our smartphone are becoming more fast and efficient than PCs.

Each core of LG Optimus 4X HD comes with 1.5 GHz which is used for high-efficient computing tasks like gaming and augmented reality apps. Tegra3 has a ‘fifth core’ named ‘4-PLUS-1’ for less computing tasks like to play music.

Other features of this superphone are; a large 4.7-inch HD display which uses n-plane switching technology as in Apple’s iPad, 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, 8-megapixel main camera, 1.3-megapixel rear-camera, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage and measures 8.9mm thick. The device is also clocked with MHL and DLNA which allows you to share all your HD contents with your TV.

LG Optimus 4X HD is one of the first quad-core phones launched and this phone will reach the European market by second quarter of 2012. There are many other quad-core phones lined up from other tech-giants to raise their curtains at Mobile World Conference (MWC) at Barcelona which starts from February 24.
