LG Announced Two Optimus Smartphones In India


Bangalore: LG announced the availability of Optimus 3D Max and Optimus L7 in the Indian market for 30,500 and 19,900 respectively. Few days back LG also announced the mid ranged Optimus L5 which is supposed to reach the Indian market soon.

LG Optimus 3D Max was first showcased at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC), this next-generation glasses-free 3D smartphone grabbed lots of attention at the event for its 3D entertainment features with its improved chipset which made the device slimmer and lighter from its predecessor Optimus 3D.

The Optimus 3D Max is powered by dual-core 1.2Ghz OMAP4430 processor and runs on Android 2.3, Gingerbread. It sports a 4.3-inch Gorilla Glass 2 screen with a WVGA resolution, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot, two 5 MP cameras at the back, VGA front-facing camera, a 1,520mAh battery and supports HSPA, HDMI, DNLA and NFC for connectivity. The phone is just 9.6mm thick and weighs only 148 grams. It also has a 3D converter which converts 2D content like Google Maps and other mapping apps to 3D. The phone also comes with a 3D video editor which lets the user to edit 3D video; a 3D hot key on the side of the phone makes the user to snap between 2D and 3D viewing.

LG also launched its new Android 4.0 running smartphone – Optimus L7 which has the company’s unique design philosophy – L-Style. This sleek L-styled smartphone was first showcased in this year’s MWC. The L-shape design of the device is meant to increase the usability of its huge 4.3-inch touchscreen display for better navigation and keyboard functionalities.

The L7 sports 4.3 inch display which comes with WVGA (480x800) pixel resolution and the device sports 8 MP camera with LED Flash, 1.3 MP front facing camera, 1 GB RAM, 4 GB onboard storage with 2.8 GB user accessibility. The device is powered by single-core 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon mobile processor, Adreno 200 graphics chip and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. For connectivity it supports Near Field Communication (NFC), Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA), Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPRS.
