Kingston launches Wi Drive for iOS devices


Bangalore: Kingston has launched a new storage device for Apple products called Wi Drive. The device is specially meant for the iPod touch, iPad and the iPhone 3G/3GS/4. The device allows users to access data wirelessly by using the iOS devices. Presently Kinston has launched the device only outside India. Wi Drive will be available in India by June end. The device supports different audio file formats like AAC, MP3, WAV and video file formats such as m4v, mp4, mov, Motion JPEG, AVI, image such as jpg, bmp, tiff etc. It has its own battery backup that gives up to four hours of battery life after continuous use. Wi Drive also supports streaming of music, photos, videos, PDFs etc. Using the Wi Drive, user can connect their Apple devices through Wi Fi to access their files. Wi Drive is a portable storage device and it is 0.3" thick. The Wi-Drive is available in 16GB and 32GB storage options. The 16 GB is priced at 5,850 ($130) and the 32 GB is priced at 7,875 ($175). Using the Wi Drive, users can drag and drop their files from their PC to the Wi Drive device through USB cable. User can also download the Wi Drive application from App store and connect it to their devices.
