Kingston Announces World's First I TB USB Flash Drive

Bangalore: For those who are looking at good storage capacity devices, Kingston has introduced its latest flash drive where people can store all the data that they intend to store in a hard disk! The company had claimed it to be the world’s first I TB USB 3.0 flash drive.

The flash drive which is called the DataTraveler HyperX Predator 3.0 has read/write speeds which is up to 240MB/s and 160MB/s. It also boasts of the SuperSpeed USB 3.0 certification.

The drive is currently available with a capacity of 512GB. According to Mashable, the I TB variant is likely to hit the market in Q1 of 2013.

The currently available drive is priced at $1,750 and the I TB variant is likely to be priced at a costlier rate.

However Kingston has also launched slower and smaller USB devices for less demanding users. These drives have a smaller capacity of 32GB and 64GB and read/write speeds of 150MB/s and 70MB/s.
