Keep Your Fingers Crossed for The Most Awaited Gadget: The iPhone SE!

BENGALURU: Apple is expected to introduce the most anticipated and unique version of iPhone; the 4 inch iPhone at an event on 21st March; along with a 9.7-inch iPad Pro model, a range of Apple Watch models and some accessories. Rumors suggest that the phone will be available by second quarter of the year. It is also assumed that the 4 inch smartphone will be named as iPhone SE or special edition.

Rumors of the 4 inch iPhone SE have been buzzing around since the company released iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. To get a genuine and complete overview about the specifications of the phone, users across the globe will have to wait for the big event.  According to the several leaks, iPhone SE will resemble the iPhone 5s launched in 2013. When it comes to the price, Ming Chi Kuo, analyst at KGI Securities predicts that the iPhone SE will cost somewhere around $400-$500 (approximately between 27,500 and 34,500). Apple might also slash the official retail price of iPhone 5s.

Reports claim that the hardware specifications of iPhone SE will be similar to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S, unlike the design which is anticipated to match the iPhone 5S. Apart from most of the design, the new version of iPhone is reported to house a button on the side, slightly different from 5S’s power button which is placed on the top. We can also assume that the phone will be very identical to iPhone 6S, except the 4 inch display.

The iPhone SE is expected to be powered by M9 coprocessor and A9 SoC and it will also feature software and hardware which supports Live Photos. Currently, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus are the only smartphones supporting Live Photos. As seen on the iPhone 6s, iPhone SE will support Bluetooth 4.2, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and VoLTE.  Rumors also claim that iPhone SE will not sport the most innovative feature included in Apple’s current flagship models; the 3D Touch display. The phone is rumored to have an NFC chip that supports Apple Pay, a mobile payments system introduced by Apple. The iPhone SE will be rolled out in silver, gold and Space Grey color options with 16GB and 64GB inbuilt storage options. A recent report suggested that the firm is likely to host a Rose Gold option similar to iPhone 6's Rose Gold color.
