Karbonn to Launch Budget Android Tablet, Phones


Bangalore: Indian market is the best arena for budget tablets and cheap smartphones. Now Karboon, one more Indian mobile manufacture has stepped in to this club to have some game. Karbonn is going to launch a budget Android 4.0 tablet named ‘SmartTab A1’ and two cheap Android 2.3 smartphones named ‘A7 and A9’ for the Indian customers within few days.

Karbonn SmartTab A1 will be powered by 1.2 GHz processor and will sport a 7 inch capacitive screen, 2 MP camera, mini HDMI port, a USB port, a micro SD card slot for storage of up to 32 GB. The specification of this tablet is similar to the recently launched budget tablets Micromax FunTab and HCL MeTabU1, and therefore we can expect that it will priced quite close to these tablet, costing around 6,500.

Both Karbonn A7 and A9 are Dual-SIM Android smartphones which comes with a small 2.8 inch capacitive multi-touch screen and 5 MP camera will dual LED flash. Both of them are engineered with 1 GHz processor and will have a variety of preinstalled application and games. The A7 is will have a 1420 mAh battery, while A9 will have a more powerful 1600 mAh battery. These two phones are supposed come under a price bracket of 5,000 to 6,000.
