Bangalore: If reports from The Verge are to be believed then Microsoft is allegedly developing a 7 inch gaming tablet which has been temporarily been named Xbox Surface.
The interesting fact is that the rumors about this tablet surfaced way before Microsoft even announced their Surface RT and Surface Pro tablets.
It is rumored that the Xbox Surface might be powered by an ARM processor. Unlike the Surface Pro which functions on the full version of Windows, Xbox Surface will function on Windows Kernel. The primary focus of the tablet will lies on gamming. The device might also support SMS and MMS messaging.
The reports also suggest that part of the tablet’s hardware will be developed in the Microsoft office in Silicon Valley. Another factor that added fuel to the Xbox rumors was that Microsoft made several of its Xbox buildings a highly restricted area and only few employees are allowed to go into those buildings.
