Intel India Reinforces Leadership in Data Center Market with the Powerful Intel Xeon Scalable Processors

Intel launched its new Intel Xeon Scalabe processor on 12th July, 2017 with an agenda to the consume the vast amount of data that is generated everyday in today’s system hungry scenario. Uniquely modelled for the ever evolving data center and network infrastructure, including cloud computing, 5-G ready networks, high performance computing and artificial intelligence. Intel Xeon delives a 2.2 times the performance in growing workloads like AI compared to the three year old optimized server systems., operates upto an estimated 4.2 times more virtual machines versus a four year old system for rapid server utimilization, complements low energy costs & space efficiency, provides up to a two times FLOPs/clock improvement with Intel AVX-512 and processes up to five times more IOPS while reducing latency by up to 70 percent.

“As India Inc. increases its investment in technology, the country’s data center and network infrastructure will undergo a massive transformation. Emerging use cases in the financial, ITeS, healthcare, and academic sectors will necessitate agile networks that can interpret and implement decisions based on artificial intelligence, HPC, and in the near future, 5G,” stated Prakash Mallya, Managing Director,Sales & Marketing Group, Intel India.

Intel also introduced Intel Select Solutions, a solutions brand aimed at simplifying and speeding the deployment of data center and network infrastructure. This is an expansion of the company’s deep investment in Intel Builders ecosystem collaborations and will deliver a choice of Intel verified configurations to the market enabling customers to speed return on investment in Intel Xeon Scalable processor based infrastructure for user prioritized workloads.

In India, leading stock exchange - National Stock Exchange, and cloud service provider NxtGen have been a part of this initiative, and are expected to benefit from a dramatic performance increase of 1.65 times on average over previous generation technology.
