Head to Head: LG G5 vs Samsung Galaxy S7 vs Xiaomi Mi5 vs Sony Xperia XP

BENGALURU: The just concluded Mobile World Congress witnessed another action-packed and gripping event filled with exciting new smartphone launches. Out of all those multitude of launches that took place, the devices that stole the spotlight were the LG G5, Xiaomi Mi5, Samsung Galaxy S7 Series, and Sony Xperia XP. With these devices expected to hit the market by the end of March, let’s pit them against each other to see how they stand in terms of different specifications.

Design

The modular design of G5 was one of the most innovative of ideas seen in MWC 2016. The bottom of this all-metal phone can be popped out where you can swap the battery pack or pop in another module. In contrast, the Galaxy S7 sports the same glass and metal body design seen previously in the S6, giving it a sturdy, and yet at the same time, a classy look. Sony Xperia X looks really sharp in an all aluminum body with a metallic finish. The Xiaomi Mi5 is a sleek looking phone donning a metal frame with a curved glass back and is ultra light.
