HTC to Roll Out Jelly Bean Update for One X, One S


Bangalore: HTC is working on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for HTC One X, One XL and One S smartphones. There is no conformed date for the release of these updates.

Ausdroid, an Australian website for Android news have quoted the company saying, "We know HTC fans are excited to get their hands on Google's latest version of Android. At this point in time, we can confirm that we have plans to upgrade our HTC One X, HTC One XL and HTC One S to Jelly Bean. Please stay tuned for more updates regarding device upgrades, timing and other details about HTC and Jelly Bean."

The HTC One X sports 4.7 inch HD display with 1280x720 pixels of resolution, it is powered by 1.5 GHz Nvidia quad-core processor and currently runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system with HTC’s Sense 4.0 user interface. It also features 8 MP camera with LED flash, capable of recording 1080 pixels HD video recording, 32 GB of expandable memory, 1 GB of RAM and for connectivity it has HDMI ports, NFC capabilities, Bluetooth and 3G. It also has built in Beats Audio and a powerful 1800 mAh battery. The unique feature of this phone is; it can capture continues photos with just a touch and is capable of taking four photos per second.

The HTC One XL is a variant of the One X with LTE network in the U.S. market, therefore the L at the end the phone name. It shares the same specifications and features except the processor; One XL is powered with a 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor.

And finally the recently released HTC One S comes with unibody design. It is powered with a Qualcomm MSM8260A Snapdragon dual core 1.5 GHz processor, Adreno 225 graphics processing unit, 1 GB RAM and currently running on Android 4.0 operating system. It sports a 4.3 inch qHD Super AMOLED Gorilla glass display with 540 x 960 pixels resolution, 8 MP auto-focus rear camera along with LED flash, 16 GB of internal storage and supports Bluetooth, WiFi, DLNA functionality, and micro USB.
