HTC Working on a Smartphone or a Phablet?
Bangalore: With every gadget company adapting and bringing out new gadgets to stay in the market. HTC is no different. The rumors in the gadget world point out that the company is working on a 5-inch “phablet”.
A phablet is a device which is slightly larger than a smartphone but smaller than a tablet, with screen size of around 4.7 to 5.1-inches. This device looks to combine the use and functions of both into one gadget.
According to DigiTimes, HTC is working on a 5-inch phablet with a resolution of 1794 X 1080 pixels and this device is likely to be out in the market by September-October of this year. But there are rumors that the actual handset will have an amazing and unbelievable resolution of 1920 X 1080 pixels. The device might be powered by a 1.5GHz paired Snapdragon S4 SoC, with an Adreno 320 graphics chip.
Every gadget giant is gearing up to either launch or unveil a gadget in the next few months. Apple and Samsung are at war once again with Samsung planning on launching its upgraded sequel to Galaxy Note just 2 weeks before the rumored launch date of Apple’s iPhone 5. This is going to be a war of gadgets with each device being eagerly anticipated for. Just recently Samsung shocked Apple by overtaking as the largest maker and seller of smartphones in the market.
So this fall, it is going to be the battle of the bigges in the world of gadgets. All we would like to say is may the best device win.
