HTC Making Zoe Apps For Rival Android Phones


BANGALORE: If you have a HTC Smartphone then you must be familiar with the apps that are pre installed in the handset. New Taipei City based High-Tech Computer Corporation is planning to move forward and push their apps out into the wider Android landscape.

According to a report by tech news website Re/code the HTC Creative Labs consist of 260-people-strong unit and is currently working to develop the apps for other Android phones. Drew Bamford, the longtime head of HTC’s user interface team, is heading up HTC Creative Labs.

HTC is creating an Android friendly version of Zoe app that can compile 16 pictures or videos into a neat little highlight video of up to 30 seconds where user can select a theme and add a music track. The Zoe app is installed in the newly launched HTC One M8.

Android friendly version of Zoe app is expected to arrive by mid of August. At present the Zoe app is only for the high-end handsets running Android 4.4. Other apps, including Blinkfeed, are expected to follow down the line.
