HP Launches World's Thinnest Laptop


BENGALURU: From Floppy disks to Compact disks, from compact disks to DVD’s, from DVD’s to pen drives, from pen drive to memory cards, storage devices are getting diminutive gradually as the technology is touching new horizons. From Pc’s to laptop to ultra slim laptops, IT innovationists don’t refrain from turning every stone to create a new cutting edge device and gadget which would be feasible for end users to access. In a major technological announcement made, the American multinational information technology company HP has announced the launch of HP spectre, tipped to be world’s thinnest laptop. According to its design, the new HP spectre is set to beat new Apple Mac.    

The device features a 13.3-inch full HD display, is razor-thin at 10.4mm, and weighs in at just 1.1 kg. It is powered by Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, with up to 512GB of flash storage, while RAM is capped at 8GB and is priced at $1,169 (Rs 79,000). The other version of this ultra slim notebook carries Core i7 processor and costs just $1,249 (Rs 84,000). The most highly stacked versions carries 512 GB of SSD storage is $1,499 (Rs 1 lakh approximately). "HP as India’s technology leader aims to make life better, productive and more fun. The new laptop majorly uses aluminum for its build and the bas is build with carbon-fibre. HP has opted for piston hinge at the edge of the laptop, which folds flat to look like a hinge less design. The Spectre is little more slimmer than Macbook Air which is 17mm thick and the battery has been squashed in way to blend into the design, keeping in view its backup.
