Google's Nexus Tablet Available In India For 15,999

Bangalore: The most awaited Google tablet, Nexus 7, is up for pre-orders in India via Google Play store for 15,999. It will be first Google device to be sold on company’s virtual store in the country, reports TOI.

Eric Schmidt, Google’s chairman, in his recent visit to India, had apologized for the non-availability of Nexus products in India. He was answering a question shot at him about the launch of Nexus range of products here. But the launch of Nexus 7, which followed Schmidt’s visit, had cleared the apprehensions in mind of consumers about Google’s stand towards Indian launch.

Nexus 7 was first unveiled in June 2012, and it went on sale in U.S. in July.   Asus, the manufacturer of the tablet, had started selling limited quantities of the device in November 2012 in India through Croma Retail stores, for a price of 19,999. So it’s not a first launch of device in India.
