2. Who is the Lightest of Them All?
The Google-Asus Nexus Tablet weighs only 340g. At 340g this tablet is the lightest and the sleekest 7-inch tablet. The tablet is lighter than 3rd-gen iPad which weighs 652 gram. Some would say this is an unfair comparison as the iPad is a 9.7 –inch tab. But even among the leading 7-inch tablets Nexus wins the title of being the lightest. It is closely followed by Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 which weights just 5g more. The Kindle Fire which weighs 413g is considered to be direct competition to Nexus.
The next-generation Kindle Fire is set to be launched in the beginning of next month, but we don’t have any information regarding its weight. So we just have to wait to find out if the featherweight crown is stolen from Nexus from its closer competitor.
