Enjoy Cool Air of Micromax's Budget Air Conditioners

BENGALURU: Initially an IT software company and now the consumer electronics company, Micromax, based in Gurgaon has always been known for its low-cost electronic innovations. Starting with mobile phones business and later entering into tablet, and TV, the company has made a benchmark as one of the largest domestic companies in India. Again, by introducing budget air-conditioners, Micromax is set to leverage its market as a consumer electronics giant in India; source, Indianexpress.com.

Micromax entered into the market with its range of three split ACs and a window AC. The company also confirmed that under ‘Make in India’ scheme, ACs will be manufactured in the state of Uttarakhand. The AC is manufactured with ‘ECCO Blu’ technology that adds to the security of AC by preventing the condenser coil from moisture. As a result, the condenser coil lasts almost three times more than its normal lifespan.  

“With our range of products developed especially for Indian conditions, we aim to penetrate the market with a complete range of air conditioners that can improve the quality of life of consumers across the country,” said, Rajesh Agarwal, Co-founder, Micromax. He actually means to improve the quality of life as you can experience purified refreshing air filtered by Vitamin C filter and Catechin filter. Also, the ‘Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) filter’ assists in removing chemicals with oxidizing agents. It does not end here, the ACs are equipped with turbo cooling technology which cools the room quite faster.

The other features include dehumidification that prevents excessive moisture to develop inside a room. With no moisture, there will be no chance for bacteria to thrive but as a precautionary measure, ACs comes with ‘Auto Cleaning’ feature. The additional feature removes foul smell and restricts bacteria to populate.

The Micromax ACs can be purchased from retails stores and the price is ranged between 20,000 to 30,000. It will be available in 1.5 and 2 tonne variants with 5-year warranty on compressors and functional parts of split ACs. With such step, Micromax foresees to increase market share upto 5 percent by next year.
