Dell Launches XPS Duo 12 Convertible Ultrabook, XPS 10 Tablet


Bangalore: Dell Launches XPS Duo 12 Convertible Ultrabook is the third hybrid making its way into the IFA 2012, Berlin Germany. Sony and HP have also unveiled their hybrids; Sony Vaio Duo 11 and HP Envy X2 hybrid respectively. Along with Dell XPS Duo 12, we have three devices that will run on Windows 8.

The XPS Duo 12 comes with a huge 12.5 inch Full HD multi touch display which has a resolution of 1920 X 1080 pixels. The gadget is a swiveling Windows 8 device the can be converted from an ultrabook to a tablet and back again quiet easily. The screen has a Gorilla Glass which covers it from edge to edge.   The keyboard comes with a touch pad and to make typing easy and it comes with backlight as well.

Information regarding the battery  life as well as the pricing hasn’t been made public yet, though Dell has said that the moment Windows 8 is officially launched the Ultrabook will also be available in the market. That would mean we can expect to see this gadget in the market by October end.

Along with the XPS Duo 12, the other device that Dell launched is the Dell XPS 10 tablet which comes with a 10.1 inch screen and is a Windows RT tablet. The company said that the device will come with a 20 hours battery life with just a single charge. Apart from this Dell has chosen to remain tight lipped regarding the other specifications of the gadget.

This device will also be available at around October end.
