Aakash 2 comes bundled with e-learning apps and it allows accessing Sakshat educational portal which assists both students and teachers with its knowledge plus segment that has e-books, journals and study materials. 

The tablet has pre-loaded apps like Yahoo!'s web portfolio, news from Indian Express Group and comes with game-based educational modules of Mango learning solutions. It also has interactive smart books, full CBSE courses and TestBag (comprehensive solution for testing and e-assessment).

Key Specs: To keep the cost low Datawind, the maker of Aakash has compremised on lot of features and specs. But still this device surely a good one to own for studying. The tablet is powered by Cortex A8 800MHz processor, 256MB RAM and runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It has a 7-inch capacitive multi-touchscreen with 800 x 480 resolution, 2GB internal storage, microSD card slot, USB port, Wi-Fi and GPRS features and a Li-ion Polymer 3200 mAH giving 3 hours of battery life.
