CES 2014: Smartphones That Ruled The Show

Bangalore: Proprietors and brand owners of a variety of smartphone devices are brimming with excitement to be a part of the 5-day ongoing CES 2014 event in Las Vegas. Although many bigheads like HTC, Samsung, Nokia, Motorola and many other smartphone makers chose not to reveal any new products at the glitzy trade show, this left other phone manufacturers plenty of room to showcase some of their latest mobile gizmos under the spotlight.
Let’s take a look at some of the eye-catchy smartphones at CES 2014 and who their makers are.

#5 Asus PadFone and PadFone mini
Asus announced no fewer than five new Android devices. Of them, the PadFone X and PadFone Mini caught our eye. These are smartphones and tablets in one device. The PadFone X, which will be sold by AT&T later this year, features a flagship-class smartphone with a 5.5-inch screen. It docks with a 9-inch tablet sled. While the smartphone serves as the brains behind the device, the tablet sled has a huge screen with its own battery. The combo allows users to carry a smartphone and instantly transforms it into a tablet by docking it with the tablet piece. The PadFone Mini is a smaller version, offering a 4-inch smartphone and a 7-inch tablet. The PadFone Mini will be available for $249. Pricing for the PadFone X has not yet been announced.
