Asus' Padfone, Transformer Pad TF300T to Debut in India Soon
The Padfone:
Asus first unveiled the Padfone at the Computex in 2011. After that the device was only seen in the American market early in 2012.
The Padfone is basically a device which has a slot to put the phone inside the tablet and once the phone is inserted into the tablet the two gadgets get synchronized and functions as a tablet.
The Padfone comes with a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED capacitive Multi touch display which has a resolution of 960 X 540 pixels. The phone is powered by a 1.5 GHz Dual Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 8260A processor backed by 1 GB or RAM.
The device will function on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. It weighs only 129 grams and comes with an 8 mega pixel camera with features like Auto Focus and LED Flash. The phone also comes with a secondary VGA camera.
The Padfone will come in three memory variants; 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB along with a slot for a microSD card which would allow the user to expand the memory up to 32 GB. The device will be powered by a 1520 mAh battery.
