Apple Launches Smart Battery Case with 25 hours Extended Talktime

BENGALURU: Apple launched a Smart Battery case for the iPhone 6 and 6s models. The company suggests that the case with an integrated battery extends the battery life of an iPhone up to 25 hours talk time and 18 hours Internet browsing over LTE, reports NDTV.

The Smart Battery case is made of soft touch Silicone and microfiber material. The case get charged via Apple’s standard Lightning cable and according to the company, the users can see the battery levels of both the iPhone and Smart Battery case on the notifications centre of their iPhone. User can know the charge level of the iPhone battery and the external battery once it is plugged for charging.

The new addition might give us a hint of the company’s take on the future versions of iPhone models. The Smart Battery case is priced at $99 (approximately 6,600) and is available for purchase in the United States and the United Kingdom. The availability of the Smart Battery case for older iPhone versions in India is yet to be known.
