Android Pay On The Next LG Nexus Smartphone?




BANGALORE: Recently a report by Business Korea claimed that the upcoming Nexus Smartphone in which the LG manufactured device will come equipped with Android Pay. However, Google had made it clear in the Google I/O event earlier this year regarding the Android Pay, reports TechnoBuffalo.

Other wireless payments like Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and the new Android Pay will substitute Google Wallet along the new Nexus devices. The Android Pay offers many options to its users such as; they can sync their various payment cards including loyalty and rewards cards. The service will allow user to pay their bills at NFC- compatible terminals.

Google announced in the I/O event while unveiling Android Pay that it will work at more than 700,000 retailers. The approval for this service is already confirmed by the carriers namely, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint. The credit card companies such as American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa are on board.

The Android Pay will take advantage of Android M’s fingerprint APIs to authorize the transaction. As the fingerprint scanning support will come standard in next Android mobile Operating System.

As per the leaks from recent reports, the LG Nexus will feature a 5.2-inch Full HD display, a Snapdragon 620 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage and a 13-megapixel camera and all this powered by a 3180mAh battery. The Smartphone is also rumoured to sport a rear fingerprint scanner, wireless charging, Quick Charge 2.0 support and a USB-C port.

Usually, Google unveils their flagship devices in the month of October. Hence, Nexus fans have to wait until October for the new Nexus Smartphones.
