Amazon Launched Kindle Fire HD and Kindle Paperwhite


Bangalore: Amazon has finally launched their much awaited new tablet as well as e-book reader.  Amazon has released the upgraded version of their successful tablet, Kindle Fire and they have named it Kindle Fire HD. The upgraded e-book reader is called Paperwhite. With the launch of the new tablet the previous Kindle Fire has under gone a price cut.

The Kindle Fire HD will be available in two screen sizes; 7 inch and 8.9 inch. Both the screen variants come with an IPS touch screen display and the 7 inch tablet comes with a 1280 X 800 pixels resolution while the 8.9 inch tablet comes with 1920 X 1200 pixels resolution.

The 8.9-inch Kindle Fire HD will be powered by a 1.5 GHz Dual core TI OMAP 4470 processor while the 7-inch will run on the 1.2 GHz Dual Core TI OMAP 4460 processor. Both the tablets also come with dual speakers and Dolby Digital Plus audio.

Amazon has loaded the tablets with new features like for example many users can create their own accounts with passwords which would ensure privacy if the tablet is used by many people. For all the movie buffs Amazon has a little treat in store for you. They have tied up with IMDB and the users have an option of pausing the movie on a certain scene and they can find out more information about the actors in the particular scene. Amazon has its own e-mail client as well as its own app store.

The tablets will be available in two memory variants of 16 GB and 32 GB. The 7 inch Tablet will be out be September 14, 2012 and will be available at a price of 11,000 for the 16 GB variety and 13,000 for the 32GB version.

The 8.9-inch tablet will be out only in November 20, 2012. The 16 GB tablet will be 16,000 and the 32 GB variant will be 20,000.
