Acer launches 23 inch wide LCD HD monitor

Bangalore: Acer has launched a 23 inch wide TFT LCD monitor which features an ultra-high contrast ratio of up to 100000:1 (ACM) and is claimed to be the first of its kind in India. The H235H is an addition to the existing range of LCD monitors like 18.5 inch wide P195HQ and 20 inch wide H203H. Acer had a large share in the TFT monitor market in India for financial year (FY) 08. "Our strategy of 'Go Big Go Wide' has been the driving force in our endeavor to offer the market bigger and wider form factors, set new standards and add value by bringing out the latest technology first to the market. We are confident that with its rich features, stylish looks and attractive pricing, this product will find wide acceptance in the Indian market and help Acer maintain its leadership in the segment" said S. Rajendran, Chief Marketing Officer, Acer India. The Acer H5 Series monitor has a 1920 x 1080 16:9 aspect ratio Full HD widescreen display. It is equipped with both an HDMI port and a DVI-D port (with HDCP support). It has a well-designed onscreen display with 16.7 million colors and built-in speakers. The Acer H235H is priced at 13000 while 18.5 inch wide P195HQ and 20 inch wide H203H monitors are available at 7000 and 7500, respectively.
