Acer Marks Entry In Phablet Market With Liquid S1


Bangalore: Acer, marking its entry into the phablet market, announces its first device, Liquid S1. The 5.7-inch screen phablet is expected to be launched in India towards the end of the year with a price tag of around 23,500.

Coming to its key specification, Liquid S1 is powered by a 1.5GHz quad core processor and 1GB RAM. It runs on the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and will sport an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front facing camera. Its internal storage capacity is 8GB which can be expanded via microSD card. The phablet supports connectivity features like 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.

The phablet also comes with other interesting features, like the Acer Float User Interface, allowing the user to open multiple app windows for better multitasking. Its Swype keyboard, lets flexible typing and inbuilt voice recognition, allows the user to take photos and to open apps, just by voice commands.

The device will be available in single and dual SIM versions and comes in matte black or white.
