Actually Chromebook is nothing but a lightweight laptop that runs on Google’s Chrome OS. The Chrome OS was just a browser window and the Chromebook is practically useless until you have internet connection to it.
Now Google is developing Chrome OS and is trying to make it look more like Windows 7 operating system with taskbar and desktop icons. This may help Google to compete with leading Windows 7 Ultrabooks and Apple MacBook Air.
