The MM-1s live up to their hefty price that is 
14, 807 to 29,619, as the built quality is excellent. It has an aluminum dome tweeter with B&W's usual tapered tube behind it to absorb rear firing radiation. Internal amplification is rated at 4x 18W, split between the drive units. Connections are limited to USB and a 3.5mm jack, which is enough to do the job.
It produces a decent level of bass despite lacking a subwoofer. These speakers are only 17cm tall, but produce an impressive amount of low end weight. It is edging towards being proper hi fi speakers.
