Renewable Energy from Wind Turbines
Before Alphabet, Google bought Makani Power in 2013 that develops airborne wind turbines called ‘energy kite’ to develop renewable energy. Designed as a plane-like device, the energy kite is loaded with rotors that help in lifting the kite off the ground and once it’s in flight the wind forces the rotors to act like individual turbines.
