The Apple Power Mac G4 Cube was announced on July 19, 2000; unfortunately it lived up for just a year, died on July 3, 2001. Due the cheaper price of Apple's powerful Power Mac G4 minitowers most customers opted for this one, instead of Apple's Mac G4 Cube.
A super sleek Mac G4 Cube's design that made it hard to put a CD in the slot without accidentally powering down the system was the major problem.
