5. Samsung Ativ S

The South Korean Gadget manufacturing giants, Samsung have yet another first to their credit. At IFA 2012 in Germany, Samsung become the first company in the world to launch a device which runs on the latest Microsoft Windows Phone 8 platform. They have named this smartphone as Ativ S.

The smartphone Ativ S comes with a gigantic 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED touch screen. The screen features Gorilla Glass 2 making it strong and scratch resistant as well. The handset is powered y a 1.5 GHz dual core processor and backed by 1 GB of RAM.

Ativ S has an 8 mega pixel rear camera along with a 1.9 mega pixel front facing camera that will allow the users to make video calls.  The smartphone comes with internal memory of either 16 GB or 32 GB along with a slot for a microSD card which will allow the user to expand the memory up to 32 GB. The device is also equipped with Near Field Communication (NFC). The phone weighs only 135 grams and is powered with a 2300 mAh battery.
