#8 Acer Iconia B1-720
The Iconia B1-720 is Acer’s latest offering in the budget tablet segment. The new model boasts a slimmer build, textured back and faster underlying hardware. This 7-inch tablet ships with Android Jelly Bean and is powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor that is paired with 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage which can be expanded via microSD. The B1-720 will reportedly hit the stores later this month.
#9 Micromax LapTab
The “LapTab” is Micromax’s take on dual-booting tablets. It runs both Windows 8 and Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean.) However, switching between the operating systems requires a reboot. The tablet features a 10.1-inch IPS LCD display and is powered by Intel’s Bay Trial-M processor that is clocked at 1.4 GHz which is paired with 2 GB of RAM and a 7400mAh battery to provide excellent battery life. This device is expected to be available in February this year.
#10 Asus ZenFone 4
Asus is looking to take a big chunk of the budget Smartphone market with its Asus ZenFone 4. This device ships with Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) and sports a 4-inch screen with a pixel density of 233ppi. It houses a 4 MP rear camera and is powered by a 1.2 GHz Intel Atom dual-core processor that is paired with 1 GB of RAM. Even though the device’s internal storage is limited to 4 GB it can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD. The ZenFone 4 should be available in the first quarter of this year.
