#9 Sony

Sony has made a great name worldwide with India pouring in a good portion of customers who relayed the firm. The Japanese based company has made a great wave with its high quality electronic products.
Officially known as Sony Corporation, it was founded by Akio Morita and Masaru Ibuka in 1946. With its initial collaboration with Ericsson, we got to see products like Sony Ericsson mobiles. But recently they were separated and Sony manufactures its own devices.
Sony always puts in the latest features for the Smartphone, which interests consumers to the core. At present, what made big news was its Xperia Z for its waterproof design and big 5 inch screen. The 13 MP camera was also another major feature. Xperia Ion has also been in the favorites list.

This is one of the oldest and most powerful companies in terms of mobile phones. The American multinational, based in Illinios was said to have lost $4.3 billion from 2007 to 2009 for which it was later divided into Motorola Mobility and Motorola Solutions.
