#6 Sparrow

2011-2012

Sparrow was an email client for OS X and iOS. It was used by many in 2011. However, it was no longer supported as the company was acquired by Google.
It took just a year for Sparrow as it was discontinued in July 20 2012.

 

#5 Cisco Flip

2006-2011

This was a beloved device of the users. It came as a pocket sized, super simple camera that shot video up to an hour and stored it in digital format. But what happened later was not wanted. Cisco had acquired Pure Digital Technologies, the company behind this device, ending up on discontinuing the product.

Cisco had to further decide on its consumer companies’ resources to support “four of its five key company priorities’.  
Meanwhile phone based video cameras were getting more sophisticated, making it convenient for people without video cameras.
